I get where you're coming from. Tbf, all C5 casts have been trashy, even if it was a good series. Heck even the C4 casts were tacky as ****. I mean look at BB6's and BB7's chavvy/fame-hungry casting (and they're both regarded as classics which they are).

It just depends if they're good or not. Like BB13's casting was awful if you look at from a non-gaudy and diverse perspective. Because literally they were all 20 years old and so were so cotton-candy TOWIE. But in terms of entertainment and storylines, it delivered and was a brilliant cast overall. Whereas a cast like BB15's for example, was just as fame-hungry and trashy looking as BB13's, but it didn't deliver in the same way BB13 did and was just nasty, volatile, and too-samey. BB13 had better personalities, whereas in BB15 most of them blended into one because they were all so bland and similar.

BB16's cast wasn't actually that bad and was one of the things that BB16 improved on from BB15, but all the good ones left too early.
