I think JH is a bit camp and style obsessed but not gay. He comes across as having no huge ego, approachable , ueber professional and kind. He applauds the opposition team if they win and play well and is different to the current wave of identikit vacuous persoanlity-free boring thick players you see wandering out of team coaches/buses nonchantly probably listening to inane hip hop wearing Beats By Dre headphones. One of the few Man City players that I like. There is something quite honest about his approach to the game.
Great interview with him in Sports magazine where he talks about how goalkeeping has completely evolved since his Shrewsbury FC days. No more chunky unathleltic Neville Southall types. Even AFC legend David Seaman would struggle in this era of lithe agile Courtios/De Gea/ Cech/ Butland/ Lloris body types.
