Therein lies the issue, he's not a top notch attacker, he's merely OK but he's the best of a bad bunch at Man U. The newboy Marcus Rushford could be better. Martial is merely doing well on potential and youth. You put him against a top form, the real top notch eg Aguero, Costa, Sanchez and Lukaku et al and he's going to get found out. He's not bad but not great just acceptable.

At least our injury problems are at last forcing us to give youth a chance.
Buying big name players who do nothing has cost us for a few years now.

He is far more than 'OK'. He's a top notch young player. He recently won the golden boy award. You really need to watch him far more if you think he's just 'acceptable'. He's one of the best youngsters on the planet.

For me Martial is just meh. The age thing would have been OK if he was cheaper but for almost £40m I want at least 25 EPL goals a season and even without injury he won't deliver. He's not crap but for what he's produced so far LVG in August might as well have plucked Marcus Rushford from academy or a plucky Vardy type punt on a lower/non leaguer eg Aaron Williams (Nuneaton), Moses Emmanuel (Bromley), Omar Bogle (Grimsby), Xavier Vidal (Reading) and got a similar return. Martial is no flop, just nothing special, he's overrated and way way below his price tag IMHO.

i still think Memphis Depay is the real flop this season and he's really arrogant and he really thinks he is the new Cristiano ronaldo, with his no.7 shirt

It really is when someone that would be in the Man Utd reserves is now a top notch attacker for the same team.
