I wouldn't say its strictly incorrect. That's all I'm prepared to say on the matter.

I totally agree with Trump about this. I'm very aware that Trump stood firmly against the Iraq invasion and he claims that if he gets in, he will be pulling out of Syria. One thing Trump isn't is a war mongerer. He's an American nationalist which means he will never want to be dragged into dropping bombs in far away places.

The problem I have is, he blames America for what is now happening in the middle east but at the same time, refuses to take responsibility when he claims he will turn away those fleeing from war.

He's right in that the Iraq war was a massive mistake, we're largely responsible for the state of the middle east, we destablised the region and allowed IS to take root.

He's wrong about the 'Islam hates us' statement. Millions of people do not hate the West, the Quran doesn't preach hatred against us. The problem is that a bunch of people are simply using the worst parts of the Quran to justify and manipulate the disillusioned into helping them. Framing the current state of affairs as a war against Islam is exactly what the terrorists want, it's a war against terrorism, not religion.

I did! go back and read the bottom paragraph

Seriously though NM, whatever band wagon you jump on, never be the person who can only find bad in a person simply because you're not interested in the good.
There are quite a few things I like about Trump, his war stance is one of them but for me, his rallying of racism overshadows anything good that he does.

For me.He is a joke. One that becomes less funny the further he gets.He has the right idea in protecting the country but takes it way too far.America imo needs somebody with passion for protecting the American people but less extreme. But i do know very little of US politics.

yep... he may be a master sales-man and he's a played around with all sorts of new businesses but the U.S. presidency is one toy he's not yet owned and I for one, just can't see him as a commander-in-chief. If he makes it into the oval office, I don't think he's going to be there for long.

..perfectly said Dezzy....he's still 'preaching hate' and not differentiating between extreme terrorism hate and Muslims...

Doubt it, they're becoming samey, boring and predictable. This one is at less than one page and it's already morphed into an argument that's already been covered twice in the last few days .

He's right about Iraq. The rest I just find worrying because, to be honest, he comes across as simply not having given it much thought at all

"There's, umm, err, a hatred. A tremendous hatred. Loads and loads of that hatred stuff that made out of hate. I think maybe they hate us? I dunno. hate."

"All of Islam?"

"Urr... wha? I dunno you'd have to figure that out. I think there's some hatred sauce going on somewhere that's for sure."

Hold on, isn't he describing ... oh I dunno ... ahh... you'd have to figure that one out... umm... ahh... IRAQ in this video and saying he'd do the exact same and "take the oil"? And now he's saying that he knows that what happened in Iraq was a direct contributing factor in the rise of Islamic extremism and ISIS?

Which is his actual stance? I think he needs to make up his mind, sounds a lot like he's just blowing hot air cherry-picked for whichever audience he happens to be speaking to.

Well he's right about the Iraq War being a huge mistake but he's generalising all Muslims as terrorists who hate the West again, when only a small minority are

Then I'm confused because I know I saw one of his speeches where he adamantly said he wanted to pull America away from Syria. I remember thinking 'hmm' well at least that's a good thing.

...yeah Shaun, I can't really see anything much different here to the stance he's always had...these Muslims hate us/they will hurt us, or else we can't be certain which ones would aim to so let's be suspicious of all of them to be on the safe side...let's not make the mistake that Paris did in welcoming them...

All Trump is saying is that America needs to be careful about letting in people who hate the USA and in fairness to him, that's what he has always said with respect to Muslims entering the country. He wants intake to be controlled and monitored, People have exaggerated his views into some form of muslim hatred.

The guy is an idiot, no doubts there, but we should stop attributing things to him that he has not been promoting.

Isn't it exactly what Katie Hopkins was saying, basically if you're Muslim you must be a terrorist? :/
