Lesley bullied Sam because she was jealous of her.

Lesley wanted Maxwell and Anthony to find her attractive, and she wanted to be sat and hanging-out with them and was jealous that Sam and Saskia were sat and hanging-out with them instead, but Lesley knew that she couldn't bully Saskia, because she could stand up for herself, so she decided to bully quiet Sam, who wouldn't have hurt a fly.

I watched the make-up bag incident on live feed, and I've never been so angry at my telly, she was taking pleasure in Sam being frantic at being unable to find her make-up.
