If the house has to choose who comes back, then they will choose Kelsey. Bummer

It´s the producers. They want Kelsey back to continue her showmance with Jared. And they are letting the house decide cause they know that they will pick Kelsey, cause she is lesser threat and more stoic in her decisions, whereas Loveita is a complete wildcard.

They also know that had Canada decided Loveita would probably have been voted back and if it was a competition Loveita would have had some sort of edge too.

Why would the producers care about the Kelsey/Jarrod showmance though? I would have thought they would rather have someone who was more popular with the public for viewing figures? I mean what your saying makes sense, in that it does seem like they've chosen for the housemates to decide as a way of keeping Kelsey... I just can't understand why they would prefer that option, or how they would see it as being best for the show

I actually think the fact that they've said the decision must be unanimous is an interesting thing to consider though. Why must it be unanimous? It strikes me as an odd thing to stipulate and it also suggests that something might happen if they fail to vote unanimously. I can't help but suspect that the producers secretly want both of them back in, and maybe if the housemates fail to vote for one of them unanimously, the repercussion is that both of them return?

Well why else would the producers use airtime to highlight showmances like Ramsey/Maddy and Jared/Kelsey etc.

I might be wrong, but what gather is that BB producers have always had some kind of odd fixation towards showmances cause they somehow think that the viewers like and want to see them, when i´m not sure if that´s the case anymore. It might have been at some point, but nto now. Not fake and fabricated ones at least like they mostly are nowadays. People still like relationships and romances that are genuine though.

If i were in some of the housemates shoes, i would think, which one of the two already has an alliance ready to protect her should she enter and which one of them is disliked in the house and is basically all alone in the game.

If i was Joe, i would never agree to bring Kelsey back, since it would make his HOH void. I would at least force a non-animous decision to see what happens then.
