As long as Rick doesn't die then I won't mind. Negan needs to be feared and it's about time there was a real group crushing episode. Hasn't been one since Hershel's death(I don't give a **** about Beth). Hell, Negan should probably kill one of the major characters and then a smaller one too. Rick can't die though, because he pretty much makes the show.

Rick does not make the show for me, he can die for all I care.

well I'm dissapointed, I had an odd feeling I would be but yeah, I don't see how that episode warrented 90 minutes at all and I figured we would be left on a cliffhanger but it still sucks they left it like that...We will find out who's dead when filming starts and one cast member isn't on set

I'm watching the episode now but since I already knew about the cliffhanger ending from spoilers I won't be as disappointed as most people seem to be.

Just finished the episode.

So yeah, as I said I knew about the ending so I didn't go in expecting anything else but I do totally understand the frustration this episode has received. I actually really loved the first person pov of the attack with the blood rolling down the camera and the buzzing hearing etc, I really liked the effect of the scene (although the leaked audio version sounded a little different and I preferred that, with the screaming being more audible and continuing for longer). All that said, considering the way Negan and this finale have been promoted it's not unreasonable that people expected to actually see who died so they should have ended it with us seeing the victim's body. But me personally, I quite like it. The whole guessing game regarding the victim certainly has it's appeals to the mystery fan in me (sort of like a whodunit but instead of the killer we're trying to guess the victim ). I know I'm in a minority there though.

It's sort of like with the mid-season finale of 6A though, they hype it up to make you think something's gonna happen but then make you wait more months for the actual payoff, doing that twice in one season is frustrating. I think the show's getting cocky tbh, those ratings that are making them cocky aren't always gonna be there if they carry on teasing the viewers.

So yeah, I liked it but they definitely shot themselves in the foot (and what's worse is that this would have been a milestone episode as it's comic counterpart was but now it'll forever be tarnished with the angry reception it's had).

On the positives, another thing I liked was the cat and mouse thing with the Saviors throughout the episode, they're an effectively unsettling group and their whistling motif is really creepy, I like that a lot.

from The Kingdom, looking forward to seeing that introduced officially next season. I know the leader Ezekiel has a tiger in the comics but I wonder if they'll go with that in the show. It'll be tricky to pull off for sure.

I did know about the ending but I still am a bit disappointed, as I was when I found out.
I'd like the guessing a lot more of who was killed if Glenn wasn't involved

I really liked how Rick got more scared throughout the episode and I loved the Eugene parts

What I found most unsettling in this episode was the size of the Saviours as we've never seen Rick and Co so outnumbered. I definitely think it was either Glenn, Daryl or Abraham who Negan killed

I agree.

I decided to keep track of the tweets about the episode during the UK airing and tweets of annoyance only cropped up at the end. People can hate the ending all they want but I can't take people saying it was a bad episode seriously when most people seemed to have been on the edge of their seats for most of it and only got annoyed by the very last seconds (if people hated all of it that's fair enough, I just mean those who actually liked it but then brand the episode as a whole crap because of the ending alone).

I get the annoyance at the ending, I wish it didn't end like that too (though I can find positives in the way they did it too), but I think it's being unnecessarily slaughtered tbh. As a whole episode, I absolutely loved it. The sense of dread built up throughout the episode was terrific, the Saviors are really genuinely scary villains. And the acting all round was top notch, some of the very best from the show.

I mean, to give you an idea of how over the top some people are behind I've seen some people demanding someone get sacked. I mean, really?
