This is correct (though they guise it more as "vocalising an opinion" rather than actively saying "boo this person").

I wouldn't want the crowd to disappear though tbh - they just need to stop encouraging negative crowd reactions (i.e booing/chanting), stop letting the regulars in that start the chants/booing, tell the crowd to be quiet during interviews and start doing the eviction announcements in the studio. Lager audiences have always been a part of Big Brother and I don't want that to disappear.
