I have read and listened to all of Julia's exit press so far and it made me like even more. I think she played a great (but obviously not a flawless game) which is really impressive given the fact that she was only 18/19 while out there.

I've caught up now and I'm gonna do a comparison between my two least favourite seasons of Survivor which is this current season and Cook Islands.

My issue with both seasons is their gameplaying styles, Kaoh Rong is focusing too much on gameplaying, so much to the point of not much personality is allowed to survive the season, I mean at this point I'm waiting for Jeff to be replaced by Erik Huffman just to sum this season up on how it hates anyone with the slightest personality.

And with Cook Islands that had no strategy whatsoever making it not really a gameshow but instead Big Brother UK without the public voting.

And this Kaoh Rong season has also suffered from Aubry never being in any sort of danger of being eliminated, taking away the fact that she hates anyone being remotely interesting in this series, Aubry never facing any danger to be eliminated makes her journey very dull (kind of like how people felt about Helen Wood from BBUK) and it just makes it a very dull season with no fight and no excitement to go and watch the next episode as there's no proper conflict forming which all Reality Show seasons need to some extent.

And like Cook Islands, Kaoh Rong definitely suffers from dodgy Idol twists that have made Tai (who btw is really surprisingly dull) last a lot longer than he would've done without the Idol/Idols now.

Kaoh Rong as well suffers from boring tasks, it's an unusual criticism for me to aim at Survivor as I normally love their tasks in any of the other seasons that I've watched, but Kaoh Rong's tasks just don't standout at all to me, the best one I suppose would go down to the one in Scot's elimination episode, but even then that was more to do with the showdown between Jason and Aubry than the actual task itself.

But yes with Kaoh Rong's over focus on gameplay over any form of entertainment and chaos has made this season very dull for me personally, and it really would be totally fitting if Aubry's Neda style gameplay leads to a dull winner of Joe, Michelle, or Tai, like how Neda's dullness lead to a Jon victory in BBCAN.

I know that tbf this has been my follow up to Pearl Islands in my viewership so I could be being a bit harsher than I normally would be on this season, but I'm just annoyed that the production have done a Cook Islands/Gabon and let most of the interesting contestants leave early on, I'm not saying that people like Peter, Scot, Anna, Nick, or Liz had to win, but they all had more to offer than Joe, Michelle, and Tai imo, and I would say over Julia too.

But at this point I'm rooting for Jason or Cydney to win as they have personalities at least.

And yes I know that I've gone for two on different sides.

Macie's right.

My theory is that Aubry's a plant that's why she's getting rid of all of the villains/entertainers of the season so that the public don't tune out because a dull winner doesn't make people tune out, that's why they're dull is because they're safe.

So yeah Aubry's helping Michelle win, hence why she's going after anyone BUT Michelle.

I'm not saying that the production or the public should want Jason to win, but to want someone that's at opposite ends to Aubry to go is just again wanting this season to be boring, it's the only thing that was saving Julia for me and now that she's gone we need the Aubry vs Jason feud to carry these next few episodes so neither should leave (hey it almost sounds like I'm gameplaying for a second lol) but yeah I'm not saying you have to like Jason, but him and Aubry are a necessity at this point as it's a dynamic that's gonna be interesting to watch instead of happy camp.

Cydney started off dull with her jealousy of Alicia, but ironically after getting rid of Nick she's got better, but being totally unwatchable for the first 4 or 5 episodes at least isn't great imo.

And Michelle and Tai are about as entertaining as Susie from Gabon.

And I won't even dignify the Joe one with anything as he is the epitome of dull.

Aubry getting rid of anyone that could be entertaining in the season is a bit of a problem don't you think? And she has a really dull voice and annoying facial expressions.

She's not my kind of contestant, but if we're gonna have to put up with her then I want good contestants that challenge her, not drones that suck up her ass like a Puppy.
