Tbf I find a lot of Reality shows entertaining even when they're past their peak (Big Brother and The X Factor spring to mind) but I can understand why a lot of people are finding Reality TV Shows dull nowadays as they don't try and shake up the formula when they start getting older, it's the reason why I think that Reality Shows are losing a lot of their ratings.

Tbf, BB tried to shake up its formula numerous lay and it never works, but then I'd rather it stay the same every year than try and be something it's not so I think it's just a matter of perspective. Yes, a format gets old but what if the new replacement is worse than the one that's got old.
