It's really not difficult to grasp imo. But then I watch Melfest every year.
The jury's vote is normally how it's presented (but only 12's being announced so spokespersons are redundant really) and then the televote is calculated together and is being revealed from 26-1 (which could be awful if a country only gets 2 points from the televote) but hey they signed up for this so they can deal with it.
So yeah effectively you could come first with the jury with about 80 points, but the televote hates you and only has you in about 23rd place so you lose. Whereas you could only come about 10th with the jury's but say you win with the televote with about 350 points then it could push you to the win, or at least 3rd place depending on how the top 5 really get on with the televote.
