I remember the quote. Barbara definitely said "I don't care whether they're gay, straight or Australian."

The other quote must be from a different scene or episode.

After Anthony and Darren share Anthony's Sausage and Mash, Jim say's "I hope it was only sausage he was sharing with him, you know what I mean"

Barb replies with "I don't care whether he's Gay, straight or homosexual, he's still our son"

To which Jim says "If he starts growing a handle-bar moustache, he'll be out dead quick"

And Barb says " Jim! It's the Millennium"
