Though quite frankly if it is 'civilians vs celebs' I'd much rather they have chosen actual celebrities to do it properly rather than reality fodder

You honestly expect people who know them off of Gogglebox who also watch BB to tune in on launch night and just be nonplussed that they're entering the house with a bunch of other people no one's seen before? no 'wait isn't that them two from Gogglebox!' or anything, just as if it's normal?

Welp obviously people would recognise them from gogglebox. That doesn't necessarily mean the theme is celebs vs civilians though. Many people would have recognised Helen and Zoe in BB15. And also Amy & Sally were on TOWIE. I'm sure people can cope with the fact that it's possible for people to appear on two different tv shows without a theme to make that fact clear.

That's different though, they were one or two housemates in the same series and a lot of housemates these days are recruited (don't even think about it, anyone), but eight of them from TV or established backgrounds? That's a little bit different

Also this may be contentious but I'd argue that people from Gogglebox are more known than any of the others here, you cannot put two people from there in a civilian series just as regular housemates without something else actually going on, whether it's a theme, twist, as guests, whatever. It's just not realistic
