I'd really like it to be confirmed there are more live shows than last year though, last year's was way too rushed with the talent available.

I'd be surprised if it didn't return to the usual teen weeks tbh. Part of the reason Dermot left was because they cut them back and it's his favourite part of the job, plus it was only because of the Rugby World Cup.
