We have workers rights in the UK some by our own means and others that have been a part of things we signed up to as to the EU too.

The fact people like Sports Direct get away with what has gone on is because our own govts have not acted against them earlier.

Nothing to do with the EU, the UK govt put in place the minimum wage,if companies are not paying that, and also abusing their staff as to conditions at the workplace, after all the laws and directives to same.
It is the govt in power that should be making sure action is take against such bad employers.

If the govt too, made sure all employers paid all staff the minimum wage, we also would have less people from outside the Country then likely working in the UK,particularly for such Companies who are actually paying them less than the minimum wage with in some cases probably cash in hand at too.

That is for whatever govt we elect in the UK to get to grips with, not the EU.

Furthermore Corbyns vision of the EU is a far more social democratic one, with even more strengthening of workers rights,he feels rightly or wrongly the task of full workers rights is not complete.

In fact he is right,Margaret Thatchers govt was right to take on the Unions and bring in safeguards as to strikes etc;
However and even under Blair, things started slipping too far and now some reverting back is needed.

Maybe the EU is not the vehicle for that,it should be our govt who ensures full workers rights come about.
Then again if Corbyn believes in, and he can make the case for, the EU to assist as to more workers rights, more than the EU has already, I am all for that.
