I don't think that even number duration thing is intentional tbh - it's just that C5 aren't consistent with their scheduling at all and a series ends on a different day each year as opposed to Fridays on C4.

BB16's was a mess. Like they were going to have a 6 week break between CBB anyway so what difference would that extra day would've made

January CBB's on 5 all ended on Fridays bar CBB13 - but that was because it was extended and it was originally going to end on a Friday anyway

and the series was on comfortably throughout the summer - didn't launch too early/late and didn't end too early/late...unlike BB16

For a tacky looking series, it was actually great and the production wasn't too bad either. It was C4 levels of natural but the editing and visual quality of that series doesn't do it any favours. But re-watching it, it honestly feels like a completely different show to how it is now and when compared to BB15/16 and it's only been few years.

The only time I felt production got too involved was when they put everyone with a nomination up. Caroline would've went either way, but still.

Yeah but that was a punishment for continuous discussion of nominations which I didnt mind actually cause it's better than turning off the hairdryers for an hour. That was sort of similar to putting all the housemates up in Week 2 during BB6.
