I'm a realist who hasn't seen any indication of global improvement in over a decade; and plenty indication that things are and will only continue to get worse.

I find the idea that leaving the EU could somehow spark a new "golden age" for Britain to be utter fantasy... there is literally no evidence for it at all other than "high hopes", and delusions of grandeur in a large - and crumbling - world.
