I think you will find a lot of people who voted out are just going from personal experience, well done to you though you have stuck with it from the start like Kirk!

Cheers Cherie. Caroline Lucas doomsdayer scenario. This was a brave decision and the re-negotiations will be crucial from this moment on. Weve done the EU and europe a huge favour here. Merkel and co just got greedy and complacent. This will be difficult, but sometimes you have to crawl through rivers of slime before reaching your utopia. Ultimately democracy has won.

Before I say anything to kirk, arista,I am up and have not even been to bed yet.

Right, Good morning kirk and as promised here I go, congratulating you on your own personal efforts to bring this result about.

Obviously we did and still do disagree on this and I think time will show the UK has made a big mistake here although I really hope to be proven wrong on that.

I have felt for near 2 weeks now that it would be a vote to leave, I told you that a few times recently and for you not to worry.
You have passionately with others, like 'the truth', put the out cause, it is certainly the day for those who advocated out.
I respect your genuine efforts to secure this result and of course too, the votes of the electorate have to be respected too.

For me however, this is a massive backward step the UK has taken but its people have made that decision.
Now many people have to make their own minds up as to their own personal positions in the UK in the light of this historic result.

I would guess you are a very happy man today Kirk, again well done to you as to your efforts.

From the sounds of it Sinn Fein are going to campaign for a United Ireland, looks like not the dawn of a independent UK, but the dusk of an United Kingdom.

well said Joey, though we have disagreed on what we wanted to happen you've been a gentleman and always pleasant and polite in discussions. This is the time for us all to come together and look forward.

I'm not sure that is going to happen Jaxie but I admire your optimism I think this has been hugely divisive and will rumble on now with Scotland calling for another independence referendum, problems with NI etc.

Seems that the campaign of fear that people accused the remain people of ,wasn't fearful enough, the pound has already plummeted, the people who have voted leave just to get rid of Cameron really wont be smiling soon. Do people REALLY think we will all be better off and happy clappy now ? it wont happen.but congrats to all those that voted to leave.

Like anyone who is released from prison after serving 42 years, the UK has to re-orientate itself, get its bearings.

But it won't be long once we are 'acclimatised', we will not only start to fully enjoy our new freedom, but also utilise it to start to redress all the damage Brussels has inflicted upon us over decades.

Free from those federalist, super-bureaucratic shackles, and with the £20 Billion plus savings that we wasted on the EU, and with the proper Leadership which Scameron is incapable of, GREAT BRITAIN cannot fail.

It is the ailing, failing, flailing EU who will disintegrate - as you will see.

Have FAITH in The Great British people - we built an empire, and have remained one of the world's powers long after we stopped being an Empire.

You will see how the scaremongering was just that.
