You evidently have such a strong view on the subject, going as far as to insult people who voted leave, yet didn't think to vote yourself? This referendum hasn't been an overnight thing it's been coming for months. There's literally no excuse for not voting.

No it doesn't, what does look dodgy is the majority of the Leave campaigners being obsessed with it to the point of it feeling more personal than "oh we need to tighten the boarders."
As I've already asked and no one has answered me, what bright ideas did these people promise you to think that leaving the EU was the right decision? What Economic ideas did they come up with? What Immigration ideas did they come up with? Because as far as I'm aware they're gonna now bring in Immigrants from Third world Asia and Africa so good luck. What Law & Order prospects will be given to us? What will the prices be for when people just want Bread and Milk from the Local Shop? What will the prices be on buying Homes? Or Businesses? There's so much that's been left unknown that it was really stupid for people to vote out.

I was in but have been democratically outvoted so now I believe we have to make the best, weather the inevitable storm and stop infighting, moaning and gloating to make it through this patch and hopefully come out stronger and more united.

We're still going to pay the same amount of money out as part of trade deals, immigration will not change and opting to leave has already adversely affected our economy. We aren't suddenly going to put millions into public services. we aren't guaranteed to succeed and we can't look to Norway as inspiration due to dramatically different circumstances. We'll still dance to the EU's tune except now we won't have ANY say in it if we want to trade with them. Pretty much every financial expert in the world that matters both neutral and otherwise said it was a bad idea to leave. Even countries that would benefit from us leaving didn't want us to. It should have set alarm bells ringing in all honesty. Last edited by Tom4784; 24-06-2016 at 12:02 PM. |

![]() And tbh yes I think the country is thick for putting Immigration before the Economy of it's own country yes, if that makes me wrong then I'm glad to be wrong. And my parents is a different matter to this, they're thick for different reasons. And why does it matter if I didn't vote? I should trust my fellow countrymen to vote properly shouldn't I? Or are you saying that I can overturn a million vote gap of people voting with their heart instead of their head? If so I'm impressed that you think that much of me that I can overturn such a result. ![]()

Let us 'grown ups' play a little game - one which I devised earlier in the thread for another 'bright young EU expert: Without googling - tell me: a) What The Rotterdam Effect is. b) Whether the Uk has a positive trade balance with the EU or a deficit? c) What is the mean average of our Gross Annual contribution to the EU? d) What monumental benefit did Margaret Thatcher win from the EU in 1984? e) What is the unfair anomoly in Britains EU Fishing quota? The first young EU 'Expert' failed to even acknowledge this simple little quiz, so perhaps you will fare better?

People still haven't answered me on other issues that are gonna be sorted now that we're out of the EU, and that's because the Leavers know that there isn't one yet.

And we could've elected our own European representatives in the EU, but instead we voted UKIP who didn't even attend the meetings, so of course we didn't get anything that we wanted. And who said about giving priority to foreigners? It's just that we need some Immigration to survive in this current climate and Immigration will still happen anyway it will just instead come from backward countries like Saudi Arabia now.

I can see that I was wrong in showing that much faith in people to do the right thing. This isn't like some small Local Election, or some Reality TV Show result going against me, this will screw us all over for quite some time, and it's all because some of the older generations can't handle Immigration.

I'm not villifying you, I didn't even know you existed before a few minutes ago. Both campaigns have been awful, don't act like Brexit's been a light in the darkness because it's been just as bad, if not worse, than the leave campaign.
