Thanks for your kind words kirklancaster. I've read books on the Revolutionary War and I've learned that there are many misconceptions about that war that persist to this day. One of them is that a sizable portion of the population wanted to remain part of the empire (the 48% ). Let us never forget Thomas Jefferson's wise words that the price of freedom is eternal vigilance.
