I wouldn't want a GF on a night out with that scuzzer either. If your partner asks you not to do something on the basis that it really scares and frustrates them, you should respect that and not put them in the position where they're forced to endure it. After all...you love them, right?
Obviously there a line between being controlling and just having the occasional "please, don't do that..for me" thing.
