The reason Ricky isn't standing up to Bear isn't because he is 'decent' or 'mature', it's because he's scared of him

I can assure you if Bear was a skinny weakling, Ricky would have been in his face shouting him down a long time ago. But because Ricky is the ultimate BETA male there's no way he would ever confront a guy like Bear who will best him both physically and verbally

And I guess anyone with even an ounce of intelligence would feel a little wary of an unpredictable, volatile and mindless thug like Bear! They'd have to be pretty stupid not to really!

And if you want to admire and support someone who could 'beat' someone 'both physically and verbally' I actually pity you. If that's your idea of how you measure someone's worth then that's your choice, but personally I have much more respect for the man who has the intelligence not to indulge in such primal behaviour, and the man who has the courage to walk away.

And, finally, the only way Bear could beat Ricky verbally is by shouting loudly over him, as the rubbish that comes out of his mouth would hardly do it!! He is unable to hold an intelligent conversation, and his words have no more meaning than grunts, whereas Ricky had shown repeatedly that he is extremely insightful, can have very intellectual discussions, and can express himself very effectively! And anyone with a brain cell would find that more interesting than someone who can only speak through their fists.

He's avoiding direct confrontation with Bear, but is quick to talk **** about him behind his back to other housemates and in the diary room. When Bear shows up however he goes quiet and is too scared to say a word. How can you respect that?

We need BB to put Ricky in a situation where he's FORCED to speak his mind in front of others as opposed to only the girls
