I know this kind of undermines re-watch threads, but seeing as I have never seen any Survivor before and know next to none of the results and will watch them in chronological order, I felt it should have its own thread

I have now seen Borneo, Australia and half of Africa so far, and will post my thoughts:

Borneo:
Borneo had such a beautiful location: definitely the best of the three I've seen. Survivor: Borneo was enjoyable enough before the merger, but what was most enjoyable was the devious plan hatched by the Tagi four, as well as Kelly's moral conflict: it was rivetting to see if there was going to be a rival to the Tagi alliance. The final episode is also fantastic. Such a wonderful end to the series.

Australia:
Australia IMO had better characters than in Borneo. It also had a more rivetting game play element I think. Tina, Jerri, Alicia, Elisabeth and Nick were all great Some great villains too.

Africa:
I think Africa has a really good cast but the tribe swap really confused the series narrative I think. Like with the tribe swap which kind of broke down the alliances, and a terrible boot order of Linda, Silas, Lindsey and Clarence, I don't think I'm really going to enjoy the rest of Africa that much...

I am finding this series entertaining in terms of group dynamics/alliances but ohmygod this boot order sucks so much. So one of my favourites is out in Episode 8 and the other doesn't even make it to jury...

So who's left?

Brandon has just massively disappointed me.
The two Kims are soooo irrelevant.
Tom, Frank and Lex are all awful for different reasons.

I think Africa is possibly my least favourite of the first three, but not by much.

Yeah, I liked Marquesas. I think it's about the same quality as Africa in terms of how good it is.

I'm not sure - you can keep looking because I'm sure there'll be a link somewhere, but if you really want to get on with your watch then I doubt missing an episode here and there would be too costly

I seem to remember all of the Africa episodes I watched having the sound out of sync and it was bloody annoying but I got used to it, I don't recall there being an episode missing though so it should be out there somewhere

As for Marquesas, I'd put it above Africa and Australia but not Borneo

Frank is just suuuuuuuuuuch an absurd human being. He didn't know what brunch was. He served in the American branch of the military -- it's called freedom. He contributed to a game of Never Have I Ever by confessing that he has never broken the honor of a handshake (which is even funnier when you remember that this immediately followed Teresa revealing that she joined the mile high club.) He felt more comfortable communicating with elephants than with Lex, which me too sis. He responded to someone asking him if he needs a break by matter-of-factly stating that he had nine months of softness in his mother's womb and everything after that is hard. After sensing his impending boot, he attempted to fit in with his tribe and up his social game by launching into a tirade against liberal media and anti-gun activists while everyone screamed in horror and tried to get him to shut up.

Everything about him is hilarious to me. He's without a doubt one of the craziest people to ever be on this show and he plays suuuuuch an important part in weaving the beautiful tapestry that is known as Samburu (Lindsey hysterically sobbing on the ground that she's gonna kill herself if they don't vote out Frank might be my favorite Lindsey moment of them all.) I think some people hate him because they're sooooo offended by his outdated social views and that he's not PC but he's a complete caricature who isn't supposed to be taken seriously. Not to mention that all you ****ers love the Morretts and Danielle McMahon so who cares.
