The BBC have a responsibility as sole broadcasters to provide excellent commentary alongside sufficient amount of track AND field coverage. Why should I be forced to listen to clueless commentators just because the BBC can't be bothered to show some field action?

Believe it or not commentary and coverage is actually a big part of the ~Olympics experience~ so BBC should be providing an excellent service
