I always thought that was the point.

Ghostbusters was hardly "grown up" material really.

I don't know why they haven't released a new trailer when the current one is clearly so unpopular.

I'm going off what Metacritic says
http://www.metacritic.com/movie/ghostbusters-2016
It's sitting at 63/100 atm

Usually I'd go off what the audience thinks, rather than critics, but I think a lot of people have already decided it's crap without seeing it.

There's been a review embargo on this movie until the day of release which usually means that the movie is crap. I'm not against women being the main characters of a movie but ghostbusters (in my mind) is kind of a male thing. Is that a controversial thing? I would feel the same way if there ever was a movie called "Alex in Wonderland" or "The Little Merman". Some genders are meant for certain movies.

Exactly this. Too many people have decided that it's awful without actually seeing it, if you watch something thinking you'll hate it then the chances are you will but if people actually gave it a chance then they could make up their own minds. Yes, it could be a bad movie but I'll decide that for myself by actually watching it first.

I quite enjoyed it as did most people it seems. Just goes to show how unreasonable it is to judge a movie before you have seen it.
