I wouldn't say it's scripted (Geordie Shore isn't scripted - it's TOWIE/MIC that are) but obviously some of it has to be set up, eg. them acting shocked when their ex turns up when the ex obviously didn't come out of the sea. (Don't know why people still say 'Oh they know their ex is coming they're on Ex on the Beach - they don't deny that their ex is coming just they don't know which one). They're very dramatic.

Series 1 is good. It has Chloe Goodman from CBB15 and Vicky Pattison from I'm A Celebrity. Series 2 I wouldn't bother with, it's not the best but it has Charlotte Crosby from CBB12 if you're a fan. Series 3 is by far the best - it has Megan McKenna from CBB17, Bear from CBB18, Cami Li from CBB15, Kirk Norcross from CBB9 and Vicky Pattison again. It's very dramatic and very funny. Series 4 is okay but I didn't watch much - it has Megan McKenna again, as well as Scotty T from CBB17. And the series currently airing is an 'All Star' series with cast members from the first 4 series' and has Bear and Lillie from CBB18 in it, as well as Chloe Goodman. But if I were you and wanted to get into it, I'd watch Series 3 since it's definitely the best.
