So what do you think the issue really was between them two? Was it just a plain old personality clash?

I've never heard Dannii say it's because Sharon was jealous, but then I've never seen or heard her interviewed individually at all. Did she ever actually say that, or did Sharon invent it?

Either way, I doubt that's the reason, as Sharon doesn't seem to have a problem with the beautiful Sherzi.

I honestly think it was jealousy. She didn't like the fact she wasn't the only woman on the judging panel and was intimidated by her.

I haven't watched X Factor for a while but I doubt Sharon will want to make the same mistake twice and receive public backlash again.

Well when Danni joined it was the first time it was a 4 person judge with more than one woman so she probably felt like she was being pushed out. So jealousy and a general dislike of Danni probably just escalated.

On Graham Norton she said Simon wanted to sleep with Dannii (I think she thought she was half-joking rather than totallly right!) so that probably increased the feeling of being shoved to one side.

Apparently Danni and Simon did have a relationship during her first series on the show in 2007 but kept it out of the papers at the time so I wouldn't be surprised.

So it sounds like it was largely a case of Sharon believing tabloid rubbish, and Dannii (in Sharon's eyes) not doing enough to put the rumours to rest? Along with initially missing Louis and wanting things back as they were... Along with the awkwardness caused by the affair, which Dannii probably doesn't want to consider as a factor..

(I know no-one probably even care any more, but I like Sharon and I don't like to think she's the kind of person to hate someone for being "prettier" than her)
