For all of his whipping up of anti-establishment support, I can't understand what the alternative is that Trump brings to the table. Is he impervious to corporate backhanding and media luvvies? Was he not himself a host of Saturday Night Live last year? Has he not done a roast? It doesn't quite have the same effect: trashing the media for rigging it against you and yet feeding off of it.
