Ugh. I just want a series with no forced connections. Roanoke's been the best season since Asylum because they decided to do something different and it's worked.

They should keep running with the new ideas and not go backwards. It'll only dampen the memories of Asylum and MH.

I think people are taking it too seriously, it won't be a direct sequel, it'll be a sequel in the sense that asylum was a sequel to freak show

Well there was a Freakshow link mentioned for this season, that we would revisit the Mott family. It was only one character (Edward) and such a subtle reference in the show only fans would recognise it. If they continue with link ins as subtle as that I don't mind.

Re Lana Banana coming back. I reckon Shelby will survive and Lana will interview her with Shelby telling the truth of what really happened. A bit like Lana telling her story in the last Asylum episode.

I can't remember, what had Lana become in the final Asylum episode? Like an Oprah Winfrey type talk show host?

I don't think so, it was Billie Dean who became a television personality. I think Lana just did a documentary on her experience with Briarcliff / her book but I haven't seen Asylum since it aired

Lana built up a fame of being the survivor of Briarcliff and losing her (murderous) child in childbirth - she wrote a book on her experience with a lot of the truth warped. Lana was interviewed by some TV personality and gave an exclusive, revealing the truth of what happened, with flashbacks of her documentaries of Briarcliff and giving her son away etc.

I can imagine a similar ending to this season, with Lana being the interviewer rather than the interviewee, so on the opposite end, and the Roanoke survivor giving the 'true' story with flashbacks.
