But really, no looks or compliments? Not even on your
amazing personality?
I had a duh moment... I'm like,
surely everyone get looks or at least compliments of some sort... but then I must think that's the norm based on being female.

Women get checked out a lot more than men. My husband says he doesn't get that very often at all. We do talk about that sort. I cheer for him when he does though, because I think that's a good confidence booster... I mean I'm
his wife, so I think he's attractive either way

... but nice to get complimented every once in a while... I mean, we need to spread the love... also with women, we spend so much time and energy (and $$) on make up, dress prep and just feels good when we look nice... and I make sure my husband at least matches when we go someplace to eat or something

I blame the OCD designer in me...
All guys have to do is put on a t-shirt, shave and bit and go forth and conquer... we have to spend so much money on just make up per year... but I really only wear make up for meetings or "dressing for work" (most of my work is done at home) so I at least feel dressed the part... I like clearer pores and to keep my natural oils
