Her Respiratory Tract is probably connected to her anus, the same as her mouth.

Besides the talking over him, she'd be an amazing professional public speaker/debater.

She had me until she started talking about capitalism. There is going to be greed in any system we put in place. There will always be systems too that cater to a certain demographic... though I understand what she means when she says right now the system seems to only serve a small portion. As far as changing from capitalism, I'm not a fan of letting govt have more say in what our priorities should be... we have too many areas we can still improve, like clean up the tax code, clean up the budget, regulate big medical, regulate school systems (set a price cap). I think our pain comes from there primarily... that these things are not managed well (or at all) thanks to Washington interest groups. Changing to socialism to fix corruption feels like an over-correction to me. It would clash in very big ways culturally with the US anyway. (see Trump's election)

I'm totally for cutting a lot of our military expenses tbf as I don't believe we really need to be in the business of telling others what to do. What I particularly have an issue with is how far we get involved, to the point of forcing Western life/agendas down the throats of other nations... I feel like this has created a lot of pain in the Middle East and areas who don't particularly accept this way of life and hold significant resentment towards the US for these reasons. Just like many Americans here feel ill at the idea of socialists pushing their rhetoric on them... actually... I wouldn't say I am isolationist, but I believe in boundaries ... Anyway, is it realistic with how knee deep we are into things to just pull out majorly with no repercussions? Likely not. Though it's hard to say what our govt is doing abroad as these things are hardly transparent.

One particular weakness in her argument: Where she pointed out we will get the money by raising raise taxes on the .0001%... and then starts naming names.

Well...

Maryland raised taxes on the rich and I believe still has a millionaire tax. So what did those millionaires do? They picked picked up everything and moved out of state and now just commute in. Same with a lot of the people in City Hall in Baltimore... many of those plates are Pennsylvania, Virginia, etc. They will have the means or will find the means to circumvent such a system.... in which case why even have a primary residence in the US when you are rich enough to live anywhere. Telecommuting is increasingly acceptable.

It is also not cheap to live there because they are already implementing a lot of the things she's saying will fix the system that is broken. Also the laws were encroaching into territory we were not comfortable with, particularly they could do a lot of what they wanted without your say. For example, our prior rental owned by good family friends, a nice home in the woods most of it's front lawn because it had expanded a high traffic (industry) onto their lot. So now it's much noisier without the trees with multiple lanes of high speed traffic driving over a hill constantly... so now not so nice of a place to live and now with more pollution. For the young people, the people who don't own property or live in apartments, people still going to school and who haven't even bought their first home... these changes are great... but for those who have firm roots down, this change doesn't work in the favor as they have to now deal with a system that increasingly works against them to maintain their standard of living. Their cost goes up and time goes down as they get closer to retirement age.

Maryland, California, etc is one of the most expensive places to live/go to school... and the high income disparity is worth noting here as these are areas with metros that contribute considerably to our crime statistics. Their education system is fantastic, particularly in MD in areas with lighter/richer populations but on the other hand, their budgets are far from balanced so really ultimately they are spending money they don't even have.

Realistically, to implement such a system... will be a big shock to many who have already put down roots and it would require a lot to not implement rules that won''t affect these groups adversely... the problem is more you give the govt green light to do whatever they want or need, the more this becomes more of an issue as interests quickly move in and certain demographics are more highly favored... so not so cut and dry as people would like... I think some of the easier things we can do with the system that we have currently in place that has major room for improvement with regards to federal, get a competent financial wizard in there to clean up tax code and tax fairly, clean up budget and better regulate areas like public education institutions and big medical who the top 10% rely on the rising costs to fill their pockets. That would help stop some of the bleeding and help us to bring back jobs from overseas. Taxing the 10% more money and when that is not enough, raising others, will help the poor.... sure... but it will make us all poor in the end. There are still other ways we can fix the current system before just handing more keys to bigger govt. Keys we will not likely get back anytime soon.

I'd say specifically venture capitalism specifically has been detrimental to any social structure it is applied to, due to greed.
If there are profits to be had there are ever increasing ways to maximise those profits, yet looking in areas where this is a huge issue...like the prison system in America and our train networks we can clearly see that it has indeed failed.

She was correct about our issues which is most of her commentary, but regarding her solutions... I'm not so sure because of things we've already seen tried here... I don't hate the idea of socialism like many here, but could be more educated in those matters for sure so I am open-minded. Like Capitalism without regulation is a total mess... need regulated medical for sure. A capitalistic (for profit) healthcare system doesn't any make sense to me... as you need healthy actively working citizens to pay taxes.

I feel with regulation, the bar will be more level... especially if people are much more able to pursue entrepreneurial ventures... that is one thing I enjoy about less govt is the independence. High taxes/excessive regulation have swallowed up a lot of small business and goes against the American Dream as we call it...

Oh btw, I didn't notice this at first but... she is from Socialist Alternative, they "sponsored" a lot of the anti-Trump protesters post-elections... it was interesting to me they put someone on from their movement. Also Fox News sucks. Everyone looks like they're still being filmed in the 90's and also noticed they had that empty room acoustic going on with the audio... Fox News is so cheezy I prefer CNN, particularly Don Lemon... though all mainstream national here is highly sensationalized, he is relatively decent
