I'm actually really surprised the casting team are keen on having her again. She's a complete waste of money in terms of what she offered last time around. Like, at least Calum Best wouldn't blow half the budget...that's what I'm struggling to understand, surely they don't think - objectively speaking - she's gonna be worth the huge payout?

That's beside the point. Look, I didn't actively dislike her, she was funny in parts, I had wanted her to be cast, but even by her own admission she was pretty disappointing. What was her fee? £500k or something? No way is (or was, if you prefer) she worth that, and that's why I'm surprised they're willing to shell out for her again...when they could spend it on a bunch of other people who (from their perspective) will more than likely deliver.

Maybe it's cause she's a 'big' name but I still find it pretty baffling

She has a huge fan base so will bring in the viewers
