I’d agree with your sentiments if you were talking about the same Britain that I know and love but then I don’t hang out with neoliberals because their imaginary version of Britain is very different to mine.
I don’t want to live amongst the sort of Brits who want to lock down their drawbridges, privatize their medicine, their prisons and their schools and who’s government encourages its minions to be mean spirited and selfish towards their neighbours. I don’t want to live in a hostile Britain where philanthropy is a thing of the past. |
