I'm sure people loooove all the whispers at TC bc it makes the show WILD and CRAZY and UNPREDICTABLE and it's GOOD TV, but then you get to the point where this is the third or fourth vote this season where there is absolutely no storyline to follow and the boot isn't justified at all. It's just really sloppy storytelling and a cheap thrill bc there isn't even a story being told.

Lololol I actually called this TC "wild" without reading anything in this thread beforehand.

It was good for some "cheap" entertainment though despite the boot being random as hell.

The whispers are fun when you actually understand the plan heading into tribal, my issue is with the excessive idols/advantages. Don't get me wrong, I think they have a place in the game but there's been way too many this season, it's impossible to keep track of who has what and how the intricate details of what they entail might affect the vote

Nope I'm with you. Mainly because I just didn't want to see Tai go (or Cirie who I started to get worried about for a few seconds).

Now does this put Brad/Troyzan/Tai in the driver's seat for the end game? With the idols and all I'd think it has to have shifted. Lmao if that alliance just gave the game away to a 3 person minority alliance with like a 7-4 lead or whatever. I'm very ok with that, I'd just hate to see Brad win this season.

Love Cirie but I'm glad her alliance is flopping especially after they got rid of Andrea for no reason and the rest of that group weren't anything special.

Watching tonight's episode now. Something I think I forgot to mention about the episode last week... why would you tell someone that if you're voted out you're going to give them an advantage in the game? Like obviously they're gonna want you out then.

- Interesting that Sarah's going for Andrea and Andrea's going for Sarah Sarah kinda seems to be winning to me plus everyone seems to think/know this so I'm a little worried for Andrea.

- Oh now the discussion is on Brad. I'd be allllll for Sierra & Brad going one after another.

- Ok I'm pretty sure Brad is going to survive this vote and if he does I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up winning this season. Him, Troyzan & Tai will still be in the minority though and he feels like a pretty big target so eh idk. But just all the #WWMD and a lot of stuff from his perspective has me kinda sketched out. Maybe it's just that he's been in a big role throughout.

- Lol @ Andrea going to / blaming Cirie after the vote and Cirie's giggling reaction. Sucks that Andrea went but at least the more that trio sticks around, the more hope I have for Troyzan & Tai staying alive.

- Culpepper winning individual immunity now. He's going to win the season isn't he?

- Oh what the ***** if this extra vote advantage is what saves Sarah & screws over Tai(?)???

- OMG if Tai doesn't use one of his two idols... This is such an OTT/over-complicated plan by Cirie but I love the way Cirie plays. I just don't see how Tai could possibly believe this out of nowhere. This TC should be veeeery interesting though.

That was an absolute cluster****. Episode wasn't that great but that TC was damn good, might be the best one yet and there's been some great TC's this season (the main/only thing I can credit this season for).

I also had no clue the finale is already next week... damn that's a lot of people left for a finale.

The chaotic whispering was great during the joint tribal council, but last night it was far too confusing to follow. It doesn't help that the episode was rushed because there were two tribal councils to get through. I don't understand why they didn't tell us what Tai said to Sarah, and it must be even worse for the jury to follow considering this is what they're provided with to decide a winner

...It was still the best tribal council of the merge so far. I literally love Cirie for making that mistake, it was hilarious

...... The post-merge has actually been semi-decent (although still with a few really boring episodes in there). This episode was a replica of Malcolm's boot - a boring episode finished with a chaotic tribal council but with some slightly better buildup to the TC this time. Yes Michaela's boot was random in the end so it's kinda like fake buildup but at least there was a sense of unpredictability as the plot thickened throughout the episode. Also, Cirie made that TC.

They can't show more of what's being said or else they make the result too predictable going into the vote.

Also, Malcolm's boot made just as little sense aside from him being a general big target... the only difference is that they foreshadowed that one a bit early in the episode. This one would have made no sense to foreshadow or anything when Cirie trying to use the advantage was an unpredictable act that flipped everything around.

The post-merge would have been decent had a) they not thrown every advantage in their arsenal at the wall and hoped a couple might stick and b) they edited it in a way which made an ounce of sense to the viewer

Ok I see if people might not like that but it wasn't a bad way to edit this particular episode and it felt like a lot was going on because of it (in a good way). It made sense with the unpredictability in itself of Cirie doing that.

As far as the post-merge goes... it's been back and forth, it's not like one side is just taking out the other which happens pretty often. That alone isn't a bad thing for a merge & there's plenty going on. It's actually pretty unique that a group of 6 around the merge lost control of the game and then managed to possibly get it back now after being in the minority for a few episodes. I felt like the pre-merge had much less actually going on and it was more predictable. Sandra was the only thing saving it off of her pure entertainment. Now there's actual storylines, game moves (mostly bad which is good for entertainment ), power shifts happening since the merge.

I don't remember exactly but the only EPISODES I think I liked earlier on were Tony vs. Sandra & J.T.'s boot episode following up him trying to make a big move and it backfiring on him with Malcolm's boot. These were the only times it felt like the game was being played earlier on in the season. The rest was just kind of going through the motions with a bunch of Sandra-tainment thrown in there to mask how boring and bland the actual storylines were...
