I find it kinda funny that the 'non-PC' people get so triggered by the 'PC crowd'.
Both sides look like a bunch of angry children. |

A fear of change, nostalgia and ignorance are to blame for Trump taking the White House.

Thats wrong, its corrupt politicians deregulating corrupt corporations and condoning their tax avoidance and taking millions of jobs overseas, stagnant wages, endless wars, terrorism, over-population, insane trade deals like nafta and ttip and world record american debt

People voted for Trump as a protest vote, hoping he'd change things up when his cabinet is full of CEOs, 1 percenters and bigots and his big 'victory' over keeping jobs in the US is mostly a lie.
Most of Donald Trump's choices and actions thus far were predicted correctly by people months ago and yet voters still voted for him because they preferred their own imaginary version of events over facts. If that's not the definition of ignorance then I don't know what is. |

America has become a lot more dangerous place to live due to increased gang violence, gun crime and drugs. Much of this increase can be directly attributed to increased numbers of people from South America and Africa living in America. Not all change is good with this being a good example.
Americans have had enough and who can blame them. Fear of America becoming even more violent is an understandable fear and one Americans should not be expected to simply accept. Then there is the influx of people from the Middle East with a culture and belief system very different from their own and allowing more terrorists/potential terrorists to get a foot-hold in the country causing further havoc. Really who the hell can blame them for not welcoming such change. People talk of immigrants having a right to better lives but what about the lives of Americans who also want the same - to live their lives and bring up their families in s safer country. Better lives works both ways. The votes for Trump showed just how desperate ordinary Americans have become at an understandably unwelcome change. |

'Triggers' are in actual fact related to PTSD and such warnings are merely for the benefit of people who may not wish to see something that may remind them of a traumatic event. The word is often used for the benefit of rape victims, anorexia patients etc etc but has been hijacked over the last year by so-called proponents of 'free speech' and used ironically in a ****ing worn out joke that was only mildly amusing in the first place. In reality they're just arseholes.
It's just a tiresome trope. That and 'snowflake' really are two of the worst things to come out of 2016. |

Nope the 'so called proponents of free speech' got the phrase from the social justice warrior types who would put a 'trigger warning' before anything that they think might upset any of their brethren.Or would say things like 'I'm so triggered right now' if they come into contact with logic or an opposing ideology and are rightly mocked for it.
I say rightly because you are right about PTSD sufferers or some anxiety sufferers or victims of a violent crime who can have things which actually trigger their condition and that is not something to mock or find funny. What these SJW types did is turn 'triggered' into almost a dirty word by using it so casually and in the wrong context. |

There's a bit of irony in people complaining about the use of buzz terms like "triggering"... Whilst in the same breath using buzz terms like "SJW".

That is a frightening figure and is having a significant negative effect on the country. Whilst I understand people wanting to create a fairer society, I just think some people go too far the other way.
People have to be realistic and have no right to expect that people should just accept changes in their quality of lives in order to accommodate people from other cultures - many of which have little or no appreciation for that. Tolerance should be a two-way thing and clearly with many it isn't. |
