never judge a book by its cover. Someone may look weak but they have it in them. Realistic stuff right there mate

R&R clips are gorgeous so I'll watch some later, the one where Roxy slaps Ronnie when Ronnie is panicking is still a scream.

Lee's part was just slotted in because he wasn't in any of the crash scenes and the bus crash had nothing to do with his exit/the breakdown of his and Whitney's relationship |

I still can't believe they were forced to do a stunt and make up new plot lines like a possible Mick and Whitney affair and Stacey and Martin deciding to have another baby in such a short space of time

They wrote it entirely stand alone with the market closure crap slotted in and everyone getting on the same bus. They just had to slot in a couple of references, Mick and Whitney (as Ross said, they seem to be building to that sort of a moment now, rather than before), Max's one scene with the Chairman, Martin and Stacey deciding to try for a baby and then forgetting, and Denise referencing the baby's adoption. |

Also, like Ronnie and Roxy's exit, the teen story is just a random sequence of events not an actual specific story line. The way SOC doesn't do a specific story line but does loads of different events with the same character spanning a few weeks/months and makes out it's a story line is weird.

And I can't believe instead of seeing Glenda's guilt over abandoning her daughters (it was shown briefly), coping with the fact one of her daughters was so far down the wrong path she was using cocaine by the time of the death, coming to terms with the fact her other daughter had lived a life full of tragedy and had died in another tragedy just as she got her happy ending and dealing with the fact her young (ish) daughters had died and left behind so many loved ones whilst she remains with nobody and is allowed to live - we see her lusting after one of their widowers and piercing Amy's ears without permission.

Tidbits that popped up which I forgot:
The 2013 Ron and Jack mini era was a mess Alfie was a tad vile to our Ron Roxy sneaking around to meet Ronnie and claiming she was going to Tai Chi <3 Roxy turned up "The Girls" on her wedding day and said it's one of her fave songs of all time <3 Ronnie got a palm reader in for Rox's hen night with Aunt Sal present, harrowing Tina and Sadie were at Roxy's hen night, Shirl was dancing around with a wand Ronnie popping up to The Vic to serve Alfie and Kat's notice for Xmas was serving Janine-lite Lola and Ronnie's friendship was cute
