A definite good riddance to this volatile and seemingly rather unpleasant character.

If he wants a return to the Tory lite Labour party of the Blair/Brown days then I'm glad he's decided to **** off.

He should hold on a while before doing this.Chances are Corbyn will be gone not too long after the GE and a possible half decent moderate leader could be in.He's right about McDonnell and his communist tendancies. He was talking about it on Marr.Hopefully the extreme leftists will be gone soon and Labour can become an actual credible opposition again.

Sour grapes!

This is the man who was suspended from the Labour party in 2015 because he sent explicit messages to a 17 year old female. He’s a man who has endlessly sniped about Corbyn and a man who had 2,500 Labour members petition to get him out.

Don't let the door slam your arse on the way out Simon

The party had suspended him and refused to let him defend his seat so he had nothing to lose really. Quite likely he will now stand as an independent against the Corbynite who Labour are trying to shoehorn in and he will have a good chance of winning, he's served Rochdale well and a lot of people there won't like having a candidate with no connection to the area imposed on them

He gave hope to the fat bald men, that you can still get a bit of fanny.
