Default Labour suspends entire Aberdeen council group

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotlan...tland-39940006

A mess. So now Aberdeen will have a council made up of Tories and independents even tough the SNP have the most councillors

God forbid the Labour councillors work across party lines, if they all think they can build a constructive deal with the Conservatives then why shouldn't they?

They could have easily worked with the SNP who are the largest party by some margin, and they have more in common with them than the tories who they're supposed to oppose

There was a Lib Dem who also joined the coalition so perhaps they felt that a coalition of centrist councillors from three different parties could achieve more than yet another SNP administration given their previous failures in many areas of local government

To rail against working with Conservatives simply because they are Conservatives is the worst sort of dogmatism and example of divisive politics

The SNP can't really complain either when they have relied on Conservative support in the past to push their measures through

For the life of me I cannot see anything possible Labour could support as to Scottish Conservatives,to help them run a council and particularly in Aberdeen.
