It doesn't seem to register that anyone could have an instant attraction and genuinely get starry eyed over another HM. Ellie just strikes me as one of those types. She probably falls deeply in love three times a year. I don't think it's malicious or nasty. I think she just leads with emotions and gets invested super fast. I have known people like that in RL, crashing from one new love (or, rather, infatuation) to the next. I get the derision for showmances, they are cynical and manipulative, but it's equally cynical to automatically see every HM that falls for another HM as one. 'Funny' is subjective. I do find Ellie funny. I think she is the only one in the house since Arthur left that has been. But, all that aside, if some people are going to stop at the 'showmance' judgment and hate on her because of that one perceived element, then I do find that a bit sad.
