Depends on the threads really. if the threads are exactly the same then yes its spam. If the threads are just about the same housemate but different points, then no its not

Exactly rusti it was not a hate thread or a baiting thread, just why is Raph seen as a good housemate and worthy winner when similar people to him are called names etc and need to go I like him,but I can see he is just sauntering along.

OK I have bumped the announcement about the rules. Its easy enough to follow tbh, just post your own opinions on the housemates without sniping at someone else Many do manage it.

Well, I've been on here for 7 years now and I'm now very confused.
As a Raph supporter,I guess my best way now on that after what's been said.
I will keep only to Raph's fan thread and let the constant negativity against Raph go,no matter how many loads of threads are made now.

It would seem the safer option in my view now otherwise bans are coming.
I think Raph has a right to be defended just the same as criticised.
I'll do it on his fan thread however from now,avoiding any thread now, directly or subtlety made as an attack on him.

Defending is obviously fine. You have NEVER (that I have seen) just entered a thread to say 'another X hate thread' and leave it at that. You always think through your posts and actually add opinions to them. The issue is when its just hopping from thread to thread adding nothing to the actual discussion... and as I said, it applies the opposite way too. if someone made a positive thread and another member came on just to say 'look, yet another X love thread' that is also against the rules.

Honestly, I feel people are misunderstanding on purpose now.

Also I am wondering what is classed as a 'hate thread' to people on here. This thread for example, is not a hate thread, its criticism. If a housemate does a few things that people talk about, there will be a few different threads on them. Take Lotan for example. Would it have been right to merge all negative Lotan threads into one? of course not. Yes there were many per day, but they all had different points to them...

I kind of feel like members are expecting us to merge everything negative about Raph into one thread, which is obviously daft :S And yes, I mention Raph specifically because it seems to be only negative Raph threads that people have a problem with, it seems being negative about other housemates is fine

As I said to Vicky a few weeks ago - I've always had a soft spot for the "boring" HMs (Sam Kay, Charlie Travers, Chris Wright, Lauren Carre (if she counts), not to mention the CBB ones like Patsy Kensit and Jessica Cunningham) so I'd like to think I'd support him for being righteous in the few disagreements he's had:

- Pointing out that Kieran is being a selfish fuckwad with the alcohol
- Pointing out that Joe is a needlessly condescending drag queen
- Pointing out that Tom is a brainless child

I'll happily admit I wouldn't support him half as much if he wasn't a friend but that's just a pointless hypothetical.

Part of me thinks the producers are gutted he's not lived up to his Trump-loving, populars-destroying audition and/or pissed off he's lied to get in there, and have therefore since been showing him as minimally as possible / favouring the Ellie/Chanelle stories, but I can't help but laugh at them for falling for it.

Yes I think this too..the cast him to be some massive controversial character I can't believe they still fall for it though, obviously people exaggerate or completely make up new personas to actually get on the show. It happens year after year and people still seem shocked when the HM is nothing like their VT

They are not HATE threads...they are opinions on a housemate over an issue observed watching the show...either positive ir negative. So long as its a reasonable explanation referring to an incident and offers an opinion whats the problem.
If people were posting derogative comments about a housemate not related to an incident shown etc...then that maybe viewed differently.

Yup. This is very true.

I wouldn't say ignore the threads though really. Its possible to add to the discussion and let people know why you disagree with their opinion and such I love defending my faves year after year. Sadly this year I have no fave as such so I am not experiencing BB properly :S

It's usually when housemates become a threat to win that people strongly look at their character for flaws, It's happened with Raph, Chanelle and Ellie strongly. It'll happen to Deborah and Kieran soon I imagine. It's the same every year, it happened with Gina and Sam in BB14, Ashleigh in BB15, Danny, Chloe and Joel in BB16, Jason in BB17.
