I mean, when your strongest guess is "mistaken identity" rather than "maybe the group walking the streets chanting about how they want to kill another group actually tried to do exactly that", that's a hell of a lot of effort to defend Nazis

A more educated guess would be that the literally Nazi targeted the people protesting against them
But as you said it's not 100% confirmed yet so i could be made to look stupid but I highly doubt it
