That was my favourite episode of the entire show I get why it'd either be a hate it or love it kind of thing though. Only reason I haven't started the final season yet is because I want to rewatch the first 2 again beforehand,
because I rushed through them both within a few days over a year ago and there's some things I can't remember, especially in the first season

Got some bad news I'm afraid. I was hoping for that too but apparently they said during the first season that they didn't intend on answering anything major like that and wanted viewers to decide themselves what certain things were. Maybe they just said that so people didn't watch solely for answers though and they will get to the major points, no idea.. yet

I finished S3, I was actually surprisingly happy with how it ended. I enjoyed S3 alot more than 2
