I enjoyed it... although there isn't really a lot I can think of to say tbh. It was a good concept, it played out well, there were some funny moments which worked really well... it was kinda basic, but yeah I enjoyed it.
I was pleasantly surprised that the child and mother/baby died (a sentence I never thought I'd say) at the end, only because I wasn't expecting it and I thought the film was going to cop out by having them both survive somehow, I thought that was the way it was heading. So having him turn on them and realising he had it planned all along was a good twist. I'm not entirely sure what happened after that though, like why was the unborn child suddenly in a tie, and at the very very end why did he join another group of people?
Oh I liked the twist with the married couple too.
I do think that they could have explained, well everything behind it, the reasons behind it etc and the aliens, but I suppose that the aliens weren't really meant to be a focus and it was about the people and their decisions etc so perhaps it would have been distracting or felt tacked on if they had. On the other hand without any sort of explanation it comes across as just a plot device that could have been anything so it cheapens that aspect of it a bit. Like they should have just had no aliens at all and zero explanation as to what was behind it since that wasn't the focus, rather than a half-hearted attempt. On the other other hand maybe Marc's right and I shouldn't take it seriously and overthink it

(It actually reminded me a bit of the 'Cube' films in that respect - although they're far superior and I wish I'd nominated them for this now I've remembered them.)
Anyway like I said I enjoyed it, but honestly I'll probably forget all about it in a week and I don't think I'd feel any interest in watching it again... although if Big Brother steals the concept for the next series I might be on board with that ('Extreme Annihilation Week' is coming)
I'll give it 7/10
