Actually Ruth Davidson would be a likely awesome UK leader.
I doubt it could happen however, she would need a Westminster seat, it would probably now need to have to be in an English constituency.
Due to the English votes for English laws, it would be absurd to have a leader who couldn't vote for the govts policies.

She would be treated with strong suspicion and likely face hostility too from the far Southern English Con intake to Parliament.

The latest poll of who would make the best prime minister saw Mr Corbyn encroaching on Ms May's lead in the wake of her Manchester conference performance.

YouGov found she was still preferred over Mr Corbyn, by 36 per cent to 33 per cent - a three point lead down from eight points two weeks ago.
Has it ever happened before, that the leaders of both parties were quite so unpopular with the general public? I find this pretty bad tbh :S

Ruth Davidson comes across very well, I think the public would like her but I can't see those voting within the Tory party going for someone like her. We get the odd grammar school girl but on the whole the Tories do seem to favour their old etonians.

To Joey who said she didn't have a Westminster seat, all those in Scotland who win a seat in a general election have a seat at Westminster, it's part of being in the union. That's why you see all the SNP the votes and PM questions.

In a similar way to how I feel about Diane Abbot, I can't stand Anna Soubry. She patronises the public every time she opens her mouth and seems to think we are all too thick so should follow along with Anna knows best.

It's terrible and for me it kind of emphasises again how hugely out of touch the parties are with the electorate.

You are correct mostly in your post but if Ruth Davidson had a Scottish Westminster seat,as leader and even PM of the then Con Party, she would be unable to vote on English only issues, due to the present govts.only English votes for English laws ruling.
It would be absurd to have a leader who was not able to vote on the Party's policy.
Ludicrous.

Oh,I'm fully aware Scottish MPs elected in Scotland have Westminster seats by the way.
I do know quite a good bit about how politics works thank you.
