This is good and I feel like an election might be coming seeing as these allegations are bound to affect many Tory and Labour MP's who might resign / be sacked.

Whatever else comes from this,he has opened the door to other resignations too.
His,what is known to be alleged,were maybe inappropriate but rather weak issues on the surface. Yet he has felt the need to resign. I think across parliament and parties,there may be some fairly anxious individuals. |

The fact he's resigned makes me think there's more than a "minor" incident in his past he'd rather not wait to come out. So he's scurrying away at the first warning sign.

That's what I thought initially but then the article says that "the BBC understands his decision was not related to new or specific claims" so it doesn't look like it

Bbc just said fresh allegations were put to theressa may today...she felt he had to go.
