It wasn't.

It was bloody laughable how he practically through Max across the garden with one hand.

Glad to see the best episode win the soap ratings. Top 5 out of all shows is great for them too. Hopefully the episode gets them more viewers in the future and back in the running for awards and give Emmerdale competition, because Eastenders is back how it use to be before soc ruined it.

He was though. Well Max is a wimp compared to Phil. It’s good to see Phil back rather than him being nice/stay at home because thats not Phil at all and its boring.

It's had a pretty woeful 2 years. I'm not surprised. I'm actually surprised it's nearly double Emmerdale and 1.5 million people ahead of EastEnders.

Emmerdale was a pretty weird episode but in its defence ITV aired it way before anybody was sitting down for Christmas telly.

I was expecting around 7 million tbf but i guess people didn’t watch live tv and probably watched it on catch up so it probably be higher if they count that. Christmas ratings use to be over 10 million and now the most watched show was around 8 million which was the queens speech not even mrs browns boys got higher. So really Eastenders did good

I was SHAKING from the moment Tanya returned to the girls falling off the roof

Tanya was brilliant and the star of the episode

I'm so disappointed in the writers that they've just undone all the work on Stacey's character and regressed her to whatever that was last night, at least she seen sense in the end but she doesn't deserve Martin

The whole episode felt like a swansong for Max so the girls falling at the end instead of him felt out of place and obviously done for shock factor, it should've been Max!

I guess stacey and max still had a connection and spark and never really cut all ties like Max and Tanya did. I find it iconic christmas was a branning episode just like 2007 Tanya ruining Max and Stacey’s 10 years later after they ruined hers. I’m still shook now and praying Lauren survives. (Sorry abi) Lauren fell the same way bradley did backwards, abi did a front flip

What makes me think that it's Abi that dies is that I can see Jo Joyner agreeing to come back for Lorna's departure as they both entered together and she basically grew up with her on screen.
