I wish they'd kept the Stax reunion out of it now. I understand it was for dramatic purposes but Lacey and Jake are amazing actors and their existin relationship could have made it just as dramatic without the seedy one night stand. I didn't like how it made Stacey stupid like Tanya dragged her for. Stacey has very much managed to stay away from Max's dick for 10 years.

(yes I've changed my tune since yesterday)

Max was clinging to Stacey's trust but it made her look weak. She still could've been a supportive friend without the affair. It makes Martin look like a complete fool.

Stacey and Martin won't work anymore and it really prevents Stacey ever having a serious relationship in the future with this 'Max is always there' stuff. As much as I love the pairing it's toxic. Stacey has 3 kids and she's NOT like him: she loves her kids more than anything. Max loves Max, and then Stacey, and then his kids.

I do believe Stacey is the love of his life. He'd do anything for Stacey. But I don't like how the show is presenting them as the same individuals. Stacey has a family she loves. Max is very self absorbed.

I just don't think they'll work anymore. The only way I could see out of it is if they write it as that she's been having a bipolar episode brought on by Hope's birth but that would ultimately feel cheap.

He's tearing her down to rebuild her, I can kind of see why he's done that.

There's only so far the current Stacey could go without getting stale (and without doing another breakdown storyline).

If she loses everything, including her kids, I do think it's an interesting route to take her down. BUT, I'm disappointed because it took such a long time to make her as strong as she is now.
