He seems to take issue with anyone who challenges him, that being Ann and Jess. I also think that is why he hangs around with Shane j - Shane has become his yes person and Andrew is so self absorbed he only wants fans not friends

Less dramatic Ellie/Lotan teas with Shane and Andrew which is such a shame because Shane cut loose would clearly be so much more entertaining than he is now. He literally spends all of his time saying yes and nodding.
