You are so right

Ann doesn't go out to antagonize anyone but she is no pushover and will retaliate if it is brought to her.

Then the lily livered juveniles cannot take it and out will come that overused word.

Perhaps, if they can't stand the heat, don't go into the kitchen might be a good motto for them to think about.
