What did Assad have to gain from launching a chemical attack?
Just as Trump was talking about pulling US troops out of the area as it’s costing alot of money etc etc.(Great news for Assad)
Assad had the area encircled.Pretty much won
then decides to use Chemical weapons on an area he already pretty much controls and also pulling the US back in.
Why would he do this?It makes zero sense.
The rebels on the other hand do have something to gain. They get airstrikes from outside Syria against government airbases(by Israel this time) and they also(they hope) get the US to stay in.
Either Assad is ridiculously stupid or this wasn’t him.

If it's not then who is it? The Russians? They were happy enough to use their chemicals in the UK in broad daylight. There are pictures, someone did it.
